Abstract:
Macroscopic properties of macromolecular systems may be predicted by knowing the degree of crystallinity. Unfortunately, the absolute value is obtained from X-ray diffraction, only if this quantity is known or may be obtained from structural modeling. All other experimental methods, like IR, SEM or dilatometry lead to an approximate value. For this reason, it is beneficial to use the function of crystallinity, which gives information about the evolution of the system ordonability as function of time.
