Abstract:
In the current context of increased greenhouse effect and global warming and permanent growing in world population, a reliable solution is to produce electricity from wind and solar energy. At present, wind energy can be captured by horizontal axis and vertical axis turbines and solar energy can be captured by using photovoltaic cells. In this paper we present a hybrid system made up of solar panel and vertical axis wind turbine placed in the Ilfov County town of Magurele, that transform wind speed and thermal gradient in electricity. Also we collected data on solar radiation and wind velocity for make a correlation with the electric power supplied by the system.
