Abstract:
The Indium nucleus has two natural isotopes, the 113In and 115In respectively and therefore in the 113In(p,n)113Sn reaction with fast protons the 113m,gSn states can be produced. First, in the (p,n) reaction the inclusive and exclusive reactions were obtained. After, for each cross section, decomposition into different nuclear reaction mechanisms was realized. The theoretical evaluation and existing experimental data are in a satisfactory agreement and this allows us to extract the isomer ratio in the 113In(p,n)113m,gSn reaction which has not been yet measured experimentally. The dependence of calculated isomer ratio becomes constant with the increasing of maximal proton energy as it is expected. The above evaluations suggests that it is of interest to propose an experiment to evaluate the isomer ratio in 113In(p,n)113m,gSn reaction and for this reason we have calculated also the production rate of 113m,gSn isotopes for different intensities of incident protons and experimental conditions.
