Abstract: Finite size pieces of strongly interacting matter can be produced in accelerator based collision experiments and detailed studies of their properties, in different regions of temperature and density, coined as phase diagram mapping, can be performed. The construction and operation of accelerators, experimental devices and computing infrastructures specific to this field is done within large international collaborations based on national laboratories, universities and centres of excellence of different countries, where part of the complex detection and identification devices, associated electronics, software packages, theoretical models, detector calibration and data analysis are designed, developed and constructed. The small centres remain a permanent pool of human resources, specialists and leaders in the field, if the local infrastructures, scientific atmosphere and research topics are maintained at a level of international competitiveness and excellence. The talk will review the main results obtained by the Hadron Physics Department of IFIN-HH within ALICE Collaboration at LHC-CERN following such a strategy. Signatures for collective type phenomena in p+p collisions at 7 TeV will be presented. Perspectives to continue this studies at 13 TeV of the present data taking at LHC and strongly interacting matter phase diagram mapping using CBM experiment at FAIR will be shown.
