Abstract: The direct and indirect action of the waves on the shorelines increased in the last period of time, action determined by the climatic changes registered worldwide. As a result, multiple shorelines are affected, which endangers the safety of the human residencies and of the economical activities done in that sites, being given the fact that the shoreline homes a significant percent of the world’s population. The energy of the waves and marine currents that lead to the degradation of the shorelines, using all existent hydro technical arrangements, the energy can not be controlled, which leads to the continuous degradation of the shorelines.Though the technologies for harvesting these energies have encountered an accelerated process in the last period of time, actual solutions of harvesting wave energy have low efficiency and basically they are not reducing the wave energy for eliminating the eroding effect of the shores.Although these systems represent the starting point for the new technologies which will allow the collection and storing of energy which the planetary ocean has. In this respect the present work represents a pre-dimensioning of representative actual technology for collecting wave and marine currents energy. These aspects will serve as a beginning of reports for the new systems and technologies for collecting wave and marine currents energy, regarding the storing capacity, efficiency, environmental protection and especially, the protection of the shores.
