In the frame of the extention of the Prandtl's lifting line theory to the non planar high aspect ratio wings we are led to a singular integral equation. The kernel of this equation is either of Cauchy type if the wing forms an open arc or of Hilbert type if the wing forms an closed arc. In this paper we investigate whether the case of the annular wing is obtained as a limit α-->π from that when the wing forms an open circular arc with a central angle of 2α.
