Abstract:
The WILLI-AIR (Weal Ionization Lead Lepton Interaction for Air-shower Investiga- tions in Romania) experiment is developed to investigate charged particle resulted in the interaction in the external layers of the atmosphere of cosmic particles with nuclei. The experiment is focused on the carged particles that arriving at the ground level and produced by primary particles with their energy around the value of 10 to the 15 eV. A short description for the new integrated and ultra fast electronics is presented. The upgrade of the front-end electronics was mandatory because of the old one was fairly obsolete and also some of the components were showing aging eff ects. The readout chain is based on fast operational amplifiers and event-driven TDC(CAEN).There are selected for tests and characterization two operational ampli ers, AD8065 and AD8132, developed by Texas Instruments. The Raw design is printed at Euro-Circuits and the soldering of the components is performed in our laboratory. To work in this paper is focused to characterize the integrated circuit and the design of the PCB, which is very important for further understanding of the Front-End electronics system.
