Abstract:
With the evolution of technology and the scientific method, we understand more and more about our dependency on certain aspects and natural conditions. The impact of our own lifestyle upon the environment becomes increasingly obvious. There are many ways in which we can eliminate some of the effects our presence has caused in the diverse ecosystems that we occupy. This paper tackles one of our needs, providing the necessary thermal confort, through a simple method that presents no threat to the environment. This is acomplished through the use of the natural processes of digestion of biological materials. The system employs the use of biomass and uses the heat generated through its degradation to ensure optimal living conditions either for plants in a greenhouse or for us in our homes.
