Abstract:
Despite the increasing efforts made in recent years in order to find technological solutions alternative to the thermal engines, the electric engines are still far from ready to take over the tasks of the thermal engines, the latter holding today the global preponderance. The electric machines (which operates as electric motor) have today the following major disadvantages that disqualify them in the competition with thermal engines: high consumption of material, the need to be supplied with a lot of power. In this context, the development of new technologies based on the predominant use of the magnetic energy would come as a realistic and effective solution for a long term. Such technology would benefit: the ability to store high energies using (electro)magnets; the ability to make the direct transfer of the magnetic energy into mechanical (kinetic) energy; to remove the disadvantages of today electric engines and their specific yield losses; to eliminate the need for hybrid systems, the magnetic engine doesn’t need to be assisted by a thermal machine; to reduce the operating costs etc. Therefore, our concerns headed to find the technological solutions in order to achieve the above mentioned objectives.
