Abstract: Given the limited understanding of processes that take place at the partonic level and, moreover, the hadronization process in pp collisions at LHC energies, we rely on phenomenological models for predictions. One such model is the Lund String Model which describes the hadronization process from the view-point of an oscillating string that connects the partons. This model is used by the PYTHIA generator for the hadronization process. In this work, we have compared the mass distributions for V0 candidates from experimental data with those from simulated data from LHCb and we have isolated the major background contributions from the simulated data. One major problem in high energy collisions particle production is the separation between the strangeness produced in the partonic processes and the one produced in the hadronization process. For probing the possibility of creating a method with which this separation is achieved, we have compared different distributions of kinematical quantities for beauty and strange particles produced in pp collisions at an energy of 13 TeV in the C.o.M. frame. The data used for this study was generated with PYTHIA 8. We have also studied the behaviour of the so-called beauty jets.
