Abstract:
When using greenhouses, the cost for the heating energy required in achieving the proper climate for the plants is high. This paper shows how is used a photovoltaic system as a primary source of green energy for compensate or even in fully for provide enough energy needed for the plants. Most of the electricity produced by photovoltaic panels is converted into heat using a power plant and is accumulated into a heat accumulator with water (puffer). The accumulated heat in the puffer is relatively consumed at constant power in order to heat up the interior of the greenhouse. A cycle of loading and unloading is consumed throughout the day (24h). As a secondary source of energy (backup), the national electricity grid is used. In times when the required share of heat is not assured during an entire cycle, the heat difference is compensated by the national electric grid. Solar energy is a clean and inexhaustible source, these attributes hold great interest in the development and optimization of new technologies for in taking, converting and storing solar energy.
