Abstract:
One of the most important aspects of population dosimetry is the radon exposure, considered to be over 55% of the environmental exposure. This leads to certan efforts made by the worldwide authorities to assess this exposure and allow for a better overall dose control. Radon emission, as found in literature, can be correlated with a multitude of factors including pressure, temperature, seismic activity and many others. This work applies mathematical methods for interval extraction for a radon time series accumulated over several months of determination in a indoor environment with direct access to the underground. Using several time series analysis methods including fourier / fast fourier and wavelet transformation, the given results are in good concordance to the results given by other authors.
