Abstract:
In this work we apply the methods of inverse statistics to one-dimensional maps and we advance an alternative measure able to reflect the folding mechanism on the strange attractors, which together with the stretching process determine the chaotic dynamics of complex systems. In the final part we argue about the relevance of the inverse statistics methods in the study of complex systems.
