Abstract:
Global warming is considered nowadays a scientific fact. The processes which are causing climate variations can be natural (e.g. changes in solar irradiation) or anthropogenic (caused by human activity) and are of significant importance for predicting it's effects. The goal of this study is to identify and analyze the global footprint generated by the solar activity and by human induced atmospheric CO2 emissions on sea level pressure and sea surface temperature fields. Our results, using observational data, are in very good agreement with previous studies using numerical simulations.
