Abstract:
Energy security is considered one of the conditions of economic development in the broader European objective of sustainable growth and combating climate change. Building passive houses that are true construction of the future, save energy and also removes the dependencies on conventional energy sources. Passive houses are defined as those houses that provide a comfortable indoor climate in summer and winter without needing a conventional heating source. Energy demand for heating of passive house is 10 times lower than that of conventional housing. The interest in renewable energy has grown rapidly in the last decade, which has resulted in a historic high of investment for their exploitation. This paper presents some renewable energy sources in the chosen area to develop sustainable communities: wind (wind currents), solar (which captures and converts the solar energy into electricity and heat), biomass (fuel or plants obtained from the processing of wood). An advantage in promoting systems based on solar panels (for electricity or heat) is that do not produce greenhouse gases and are not polluting.
