Abstract:
The quantum chromodynamics, the theory of strong interactions, predicts that at high temperatures and densities, the nuclear matter undergoes a phase transition (crossover) to a system of deconfined quarks and gluons (quark-gluon plasma). Heavy-ion collisions at relativistic energies provide the possibility to create and study in the laboratory strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions. Due to the large number of particles created in this collisions, the statistical approach is suitable to describe the particle production. All of the statistical models require thermal and chemical equilibrium in the hadronic phase, but the system formed in a heavy ion collision may not be in a thermal equilibrium state due to the strong expansion of the system until it reaches thermal freeze-out. Tsallis statistics is appropriate for the study of complex systems with a certain degree of non-equilibrium. In this work, we have analized the transverse momentum spectra of simulated UrQMD and AMPT data using the Tsallis distribution. The centrality and energy dependence of the Tsallis parameters, the non-extensivity parameter and the system temperature will be presented.
