Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to present a method of creating 3D data from 2D parallel GPR profiles thru interpolation by using Reflex3D Scan software, showing step by step the workflow and the final result of the data processing. GPR system are highly used in numerous domains, archaeology, cultural heritage, military, civil constructions, agriculture, etc. due to their advantages like high precision and potential of identifying buried object regardless their material nature. Depending on the type of GPR used for investigation the result maybe 2D profiles known as radargrams or 3D data. To obtain true 3D data, equipment with array antenna must be used, which contains tens of emission and reception antennas. 2D profiles can also be transformed in 3D data by interpolation, using dedicated software. Having a 3D cube of information instead of 2D profiles makes easier to interpret the survey result and to present them.
