Abstract:
Renewables energies are increasingly used in reducing of energy costs in building in both urban and rural areas. The present paper aims to carry out a study about how efficient is to transform a conventional house into a passive energy house. It will be used different types of building insulation and for each ones it will be calculated the building’s energy efficiency. It will be used solar panels system for collecting and storage solar power. The automate ventilation system will be ordered by an Arduino Mega2560 Microcontroller and it will include temperature and humidity sensors and Bluetooth command. The main purpose of this case study is to determine if a conventional building can be transform into a passive building at the same costs as a new passive construction made from scratch. The result of this case study can influence the way we transform our houses in order to be environment-friendly.
