Abstract: The understanding of the principles of physic shave been based on the experimental determinations. Microcontroller-based systems perform a series of measurement, recording and storage of experimental data that until now could be done only by powerful workstations. In this paper we present a didactic learning tool that allows the student to analyze the data obtained by a photovoltaic system with three modules, one fixed, one with a rotation axis and the third with two rotation axis, in real conditions of exploitation. The system was monitored by an Arduino Yun development board that allowed the data to be stored on an SD card, as well as transmitting them live over the internet on a web page. The analysis of the collected data allows the student to realize his / her beliefs about the energy input collected by using different trackers, reaching up to 40% in the summer and 11% in the winter for a two-axis tracker. It is also possible to analyze and understand both the advantages and the limitations of using an optically controlled tracker.
