Abstract:
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been the focus of recent developments in the field of remote control, aerial photography and mapping, package delivery, combat, reconnaissance, weather, and meteorology research and agricultural and civilian surveillance. For agriculture, the main developments, which are commercially available today, were in crop and farmland surveillance, track livestock and monitoring of the health of crops. In this paper, we present a new type of drone, design for the agricultural field, more specifically for pest control. The UAV is an Evolio I FLY ONEHD model, equipped with an ultrasound device, for pest control and an HD camera for surveillance and terrain mapping. The ultrasound device is power by a 9 V battery, which ensures a 336 h function (approximatively 2 weeks). The drone has an autonomy of 12 minutes and can be remotely controlled with a smartphone, via a wireless network (Helicute 720 software).
