Abstract:
DUNE is the largest LArTPC detector to be built in the U.S. for neutrino physics. The prototypes are being developed at CERN and their testing is planned to finish at the end of this year. A milestone point in the 6m x 6m x 6m double phase detector construction is represented by the complete assembly of the first CRP at CERN. Currently the field cage was completely installed inside the cryostat and a cold box was set for testing the electronic components in liquid argon. This talk presents the details of the prototype detector, its construction and the activities carried out in the last period by the members of the faculty in the frame of this collaboration. The autors are part of the University of Bucharest group inside the ProtoDUNE-DP CERN colaboration which includes the following members: Alexandru Jipa, Ionel Lazanu, Oana Ristea, Marius Călin, Mihaela Pârvu, Ana Chiriacescu.
