Abstract:
Developing renewable energies requires improvement and efficiency of adjacent technologies. This paper describes a new type of generator which by the innovative constructive design offers various advantages in the production of electricity. Its innovation lies in the number and power of the magnets used for construction of generator. The generator runs at low speeds without the help of other mechanical gears due to a large number of poles. The interior design allows the generation of a strong magnetic flux due to the accumulation of all magnetic fluxes generated by each magnet, a known phenomenon that is given by Kirchhoff's law. This generator produces a single-phase alternating current and depending on the number of assembled modules, it can be biphasic, three-phase or multi-phase. Multi-phase operation implies a lower rotation speed at stable current and voltage. The current’s frequency increases with the number of poles and the rotation speed until values of several kHz. The aim of this innovation is to increase the efficiency of transforming mechanical work into electricity with applications in hydropower plants, wind power plants, fuel generators, etc.
