Abstract:
Radiation measurements and investigations of radiation effects requires different specifications of the radiation field at the point of interest. One of the most important steps involved in the determination of the absorbed dose distribution in the patient requires measurements with a detector (dosimeter) in a water phantom placed in the radiation field. Such measurements include the determinations of the absolute dose at a reference depth in a reference-size field relative doses at many positions in the phantom in order to map out a complete dose distribution and so-called in vivo doses on the patient’s skin during treatment. This work will cover analysis of dosimetric determinations using an ionization chamber of type 30013 Farmer, PTW Unidos Webline and Varian Unique Accelerator.
