Abstract:
The direct visual information about the transitory processes in Physics can be obtained using high-speed photography. This paper aims to illustrate a photography technique using the Arduino board for the acoustic and optic control needed to trigger the flashlight of a digital camera. Using a microphone connected to an audio preamplifier and a laser barrier formed by a commercial laser pointer and a photoresistor we created, with the help of Arduino Uno, two analogic channels for the detection and recording of some very swift events (the popping of a balloon, the breaking of a glass etc.)
