Abstract:
Samaria Doped Ceria (SDC) thin film deposited on Si (100) at 500 degrees Celcius substrate temperature by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) are studied as solid electrolyte having much higher oxygen ionic conductivity than YSZ and CGO with applications in µSOFC and lambda oxygen sensor. The thin film was characterized using X-ray reflection, Atomic Force Microscopy, Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and spectroscopic ellipsometry measurements using the Tauc Lorentz model. It was identified a cubic structure dense free cracks thin film.
