Abstract:
This paper presents a study concerning the audit about the energy efficiency of a public building, designed and built in the 80's. The recently studies showed that the best ways in order of energy efficiency and environment protection are the conservation of energy and powering the building with energy from renewable and alternative sources. Throughout the last years, green buildings have been designed and built, eco-friendly, as the amount of pollution decrease drastically, thanks to the materials used to build them, as well as to the little amount of energy used for the maintenance and functioning. When we think about the buildings designed and built 30 years ago, which have a reduced energetic efficiency than those designed nowadays, we strongly consider that an intervention upon them is necessary to drop the amount of energy used for their maintenance and functioning. In order to improve the energy efficiency of old buildings, photovoltaic panels can be applied on the roofs, solar panels can be use to warm the water and also insulated the building's exterior walls, to preserve the thermic energy from the building. Considering the fact that each building has its own different particularities and purposes, it is necessary that an environmental audit needs to be made. As a result of the conclusions of the audit, some methods proposed by the specialist could be applied, methods of efficient usage and conservation of the energy necessary for the building's functioning. The purpose of this work is to show the identification methods of the deficiencies on one hand, and on the other to propose, in order to be applied, certain types and methods of conservation of thermic energy, for reduction of environmental pollution.
