Abstract: Proton-rich nuclei in the A = 70 mass region and neutron-rich nuclei in the A = 100 region are investigated theoretically and experimentally due to the insight offered on fundamental symmetries and interactions as well as their properties relevant in astrophysical scenarios regarding nucleosynthesis. In exotic nuclei, the allowed and first-forbidden Beta-decay processes can have comparable contributions to the total decay rate. Results obtained within the beyond-mean-field Complex Excited VAMPIR model on the allowed Fermi and Gamow-Teller transitions in the medium mass N~Z exotic nuclei in two isovector triplets, 70Kr-70Br-70Se and 74Kr-74Rb-74Sr, are presented as well as analytical solutions for the first-forbidden ΔJ = 0, ±1 reduced single-particle matrix elements in the harmonic oscillator basis within the V-A representation of weak interaction.
