Abstract:
Completion the transition to alternative energy sources is only a matter of time and the research shows that in the sunny areas the photovoltaic technology will dominate the renewable energy sector. School plays a very important role in this transition because the implementation of photovoltaic technology depends largely on both the general level of knowledge in the field and the training of specialists involved in. In this paper we present a pedagogical research through an overview of the high school students' knowledge of photovoltaic solar energy and the identification of their wishes to enrich their knowledge in this field. The research was carried out on 250 students enrolled in different profiles and specializations, studying more or less about photovoltaic solar energy and photovoltaic effect, according to the school curriculum. The research has shown that students find useful to have as much as possible knowledge about the photovoltaic effect and photovoltaic devices belonging to four generation of solar cells. Also, a very large number of students (77,6%) would use an internet communication device to access a remote laboratory in order to carry out experiments dedicated to the photovoltaic effect.
