Abstract:
The crystallization process for linear polymers is accepted as a first order weak phase transition. The analysis of obtained experimental data by means of the Rolov method was developed for diffusive phase transitions of first and second orders. This method allows for obtaining details about the transition interval as well as for the weight (percentage) of the two types of transitions within the global process. The present system is represented by linear polyethylene and it is investigated by means of optical methods.
