Abstract:
Nowadays, the most widespread disease is the cancer in all its forms. It is important to know where the exact location of the tumor is and even more important is to know the status of the tumor, whether it is benign or malignant. The visualization and the differentiation of the tumor classes is the basic substrate for the physician in order to decide how to treat the disease. The most efficient method to visualize and investigate the lesions is the method called Computed Tomography(CT). The main objective of this work was to compare images from CT which presented two cases of liver tumors, one malignant and one benign, making reference to a CT of a healthy liver. By analyzing the contrast injection phases in those images, one can be noticed some differences between the malignant and benign tumors.
