Abstract:
We study within the classical formalism the motion of charged particles in tightly focused laser beams. We study the influence of the beam intensity and shape on the distribution of the electron momenta after the interaction.
We compare the results corresponding to the case when the field is described by a Gauss-Hermite mode, respectively by a Gauss-Laguerre mode.
We also consider the case of interaction with two crossed laser beams.
