Abstract: In a knowledge-based society, information changes rapidly through new research, new developments, and rapid dissemination of ideas and practices.
Classical training systems require significant improvements to meet new technological requirements. e-Learning defines Internet-based educational technologies that include e-learning programs with effective communication between the people involved and the possibility of sending additional personalized learning materials according to the learner's needs [1]. Distance learning is based on synchronous technologies, user-centered (chat, audio-video, whiteboard) and asynchronous technologies, computer-centric (www, e-mail, FTP, newsgroups). Learning Management Systems combine the two technologies. In order to optimize the training platform, we had to undertake an analysis of the learning systems and to select a system that corresponds to the needs of continuous training provided by our department. The e-learning platforms selected for comparison are: Asentia LMS, Learndash, TalentLMS, EasyLMS, Moodle, Chamilo, Totara Learn, ZoomLearn, ILIAS.
