Abstract:
Significant research and development efforts have been made in regard to scalable manufacturing of graphene and show strong potential for their commercialization and industrialization. Here we show a state-of-the-art technique developed for the scalable production of high quality graphenes, using a high-shear mixer. Controling the mixing parameters like: mixing time, rotor speed, liquid volume and graphite concentration we can obtain o high production rate. Raman spectroscopy and Scaning Electron Microscopy shows us that the exfoliated graphene to be free of defects and unoxidized. By Atomic Force Microscopy we can measure the thickness of the graphene sheet. The graphenes produced by this method have performs very well in commercial and industrial applications, mainly because we can obtain them in large quantities and defect-free.
