Abstract: Triglycine sulfate crystal (TGS for short) is a ferroelectric with a second order transition at 49.2oC. It is studied both on fundamental aspects and for electronic device applications the most sensitive material used for IR detection, i.e. almost one order of magnitude higher sensitivity than other materials. Use dielectric spectroscopy properties of TGS sample were measured vs. 1 Hz - 10 MHz frequency range during the temperature decrease from 60 oC towards the room temperature, at a constant rate of 0.6oC/min. The study of relaxation processes involved the interpretation and analysis of a large volume of data obtained from dielectric spectroscopy. We analyzed the real and imaginary components in terms of frequency, temperature and time, as well as the evolution of other parameters (AC & DC conductivity, relaxation time, activation energy, etc.).
We present the values obtained by us compared to the values of the same parameters in the literature.
