Abstract:
The output of a Rankine cycle power plant is directly influenced by the temperature difference between the heat source and the radiator. Knowing the four processes of the Rankine cycle, it is known that the heat sink must remove waste' heat in order to maintain an appropriate temperature difference to the heat source. It is interesting to study a waste heat recovery system using heat pumps that would efficiently transfer the "waste" heat from the radiator to the heat source. This study aims to complete preliminary research on the thermodynamic feasibility of using heat pumps for waste heat recovery in the Rankine cycle.
