Abstract: This paper provides a multidisciplinary overview of radon exposure in both occupational and educational environments. It includes case studies on radon measurements conducted in various workplaces, kindergartens, and schools across Romania. Emphasis is placed on the health risks associated with long-term exposure, the current regulatory framework, and the importance of continuous radon monitoring. The study highlights practical approaches and technologies used for radon assessment and mitigation, along with their impact on indoor safety standards. Furthermore, it stresses the importance of professional training and public awareness as essential tools for the effective implementation of radiation protection and prevention policies in indoor environments.
