Abstract:
Pure water does not conduct electricity, but if we dissolve a salt or an acid in it, then the resulting ions can provide electrical conductivity. For teaching purposes, we can study this electrical conductivity using a Raspberry Pi single-board computer connected with a series of sensors. Thus, we get suggestive graphics that illustrate the physical processes taking place during the electric conduction in an electrolyte, and we can project them on a smart board to be available to the whole class.
