Abstract:
An experimental platform for Radiation Hardness Testing of Microelectronic Devices and Integrated Circuits is currently being integrated at the 3 MV Tandetron™ multipurpose facility of “Horia Hulubei” National Institute for Research & Development in Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH). After installation, the system will be commissioned by monitoring in real time the response of CARD-SAT Nano-satellite components to different extreme conditions (i.e., high dose and flux). FLUKA and SIMION simulations were initiated in order to asses the proton range and Bragg peak, secondary particle generation that may contribute to Total Ionizing Dose or Single Event Effects and Linear Energy Transfer profiles.
