Abstract:
We present a prospect study for the production of a hypothetical diquark scalar (Suu) in the mass range of 7-8.5 TeV, considering future high-luminosity data corresponding to L = 3000 fb^{-1}. For this study we investigate the asymmetric decay of the Suu into an up quark and a vectorlike quark (χ). This topology is not only more computationally tractable, but also enables a comprehensive study of all three decay modes of χ: χ → Wb, χ → Ht, and χ → Zt. To explore this signature, we are generating dedicated signal samples using Monte Carlo simulations, incorporating different scenarios for the Yukawa couplings between Suu, up quarks and vectorlike quarks. In addition, we plan to employ Machine Learning algorithms to optimally separate signal from background by efficiently exploiting the kinematic differences between signal jets and Standard Model multijet backgrounds.
