Abstract: Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women worldwide, accounting for approximately 25% of all female cancer cases. Its global incidence continues to rise, especially in low- and middle-income countries. The control and prevention of breast cancer progression, particularly beyond stage II, depend on tumor complexity and the specialist’s decision regarding treatment selection and planning. In this study, two irradiation techniques were used: Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT). We compared the dosimetric results of 10 patients. For each patient, treatment plans were created using both techniques based on CT simulation images, delineation of target volumes and organs at risk (OAR) according to ICRU guidelines. The plans were quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated through isodose analysis and dose-volume histograms (DVH). Dose distributions were compared using the Gamma analysis method. The results showed that VMAT provided better coverage of the target volume, while IMRT achieved lower doses to organs at risk, including the heart, left lung, esophagus, and contralateral breast
