Abstract:
One of the major problem of environment pollution in the last few years it seems to be owing to Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), many of them coming from their intensively use in agriculture in ‘80s. For an overall and most clearly image of the potential of surface waters pollution with pesticides (considered as being POPs) in our country, a fist step was made through systematic survey of their concentration levels in surface waters from different hydrographical basins. This paper reveals the spatio-temporal trend of some organochloride pesticides concentration levels in surface waters from Vaslui, Mures, Timis and Agricultural Sector Ilfov (Bucharest) in the last 10 years. The surveyed counties were selected from different region of our country in order to compare also the situation from the land use in agricultural purposes - diffuse pollution source – point of view. Generally, the monitoring activity was structured in two main campaigns per year, in the springtime (April-May) and autumn (September-October).
