Abstract:
In heavy-ion collisions the impact parameter cannot be directly determined experimentally but there are some techniques of classifying the heavy ion collisions in centrality classes using some observable like number of estimated spectators , particle multiplicity or charge multiplicity . The centrality In CBM experiment can be measured using a correlation between the energy deposited in PSD detector and the charge multiplicity in STS detector. 15 GeV/A Au-Au collisions are simulated with CBMROOT and the Glauber Monte Carlo model is used to estimate some geometrical quantities like impact parameter, number of participants, number of binary collisions.
