Abstract:
One of the main goals of any PSA Level 3 computer code is portability, modular architecture and flexibility of the used databases. Any such a computer code uses a different set of databases in different formats, the conversion between the formats being sometimes a tricky and time consuming work. The paper presents the databases used in Institute for Nuclear Research Pitesti used as libraries of MACCS 2 computer code in nuclear accident consequences evaluation. The construction mode and content of the data bases is presented. Calculations for a selected accident scenario with values from databases and with average values for parameters are also presented.
