Abstract:
We  study,  in the framework of the high-frequency Floquet theory, a one-dimensional system consisting of an electron interacting with a short range potential  in the presence of an intense monochromatic homogeneous electric field. We consider two different potentials, a zero range one (double delta function potential) and the Eckart potential. We present the dependence of the bound states energies of the dressed potential and of some  of its resonances positions on the electric field parameter alpha (the classical free electron quiver motion amplitude) and the evolution from resonances to laser induced levels via two antibound states. We also calculate the first order corrections to the bound states quasienergies at frequencies above the ionization threshold and we discuss the issue of the atomic stabilization phenomenon.
