Abstract:
The rotation curves of galaxies represent one of the most important evidences for the existence of dark matter. We have studied these rotation curves for several galaxies in order to establish the matter distribution. Using the computed powerlaw function for the rotation curves we obtained the density profile. Several models for the matter distribution are discussed using the results.
