Abstract:
To establish the nature of the structural repeat units in polymers in general are using IR and RMN techniques. Raman spectroscopy has become quite a useful and accurate spectroscopy technique since the advent of lasers. It is possible to observe vibrational modes of conjugated polymers whether the material is thin film, powder or solution. The aim of the paper is to investigate the structural proprieties of several classical polymers: PE, PP, PAN, PVA, PCV, Melamine. The characteristics of Raman active lines are used to establish the tacticity and level of crystallization in polymers.
