Abstract:
We discuss the importance of a new measure of chaos in study of nonlinear dynamic systems, the “coeficient of reversibility”. This is defined as the probability of returning in the same point of phasic space. Is very interesting to compare this coeficient with other measures like fractal dimension or Liapunov exponent. We have also studied two very interesting many body systems, both having any number of particles but a deterministic evolution. One system is composed by n particles initially in repose, having the same mass and interacting through harmonic bi-particle forces, other is composed by two types of particles (with mass m1 and mass m2) initially in repose and interacting too through harmonic bi-particle forces.
