Abstract:
The purpose of the present study is to establish a link between the inorganic and organic phases of dental restorative materials. The strength and long lasting of the restoration work depends on this link, being an important factor that influences the choice of a material. We obtained the weight of the chemical elements comprised in the base compound for dental materials, using fluorescencense and infra-red absorption spectroscopy. The surface properties of the restorative materials were also investigated using electronic microscopy.
