Abstract:
The category of conjugated polymers by the presence of other elements in their structure (dopants, ion implanting, or metal complex as metallocenes) have an important characteristic – the physical properties are strongly influenced by this. In the field of application is very important to obtain uniformly and adherent films. Plasma polymerization is a useful method for depositing thin films on substrates. In this work thin polymer films containing metallocenes have been prepared by plasma codeposition using a plasma reactor. The films achieved were characterized by X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-Vis Spectroscopy. The results show that metallocenes units are embedded between polymer units giving a very interesting organic-inorganic copolymer with electroactive properties.
