Abstract:
A semiconductor laser (SL) shows a rich variety of dynamic phenomena named chaotic dynamics, when subjected to optical feedback from an external reflector. When the radiation emitted by SL is redirected into the laser cavity as feedback from an external reflecting surface, the configuration is known as external-cavity semiconductor laser (ECSL) system. In the present work we aimed to experimentally evaluate the chaotic dynamics of a laser diode emission (λ=663nm) with respect to the external optical reflector type of the ECSL system.
